Naan is a light and soft Indian breads. If you want something different for dinner than every day’s Roti or chapati then Butter Naan is a perfect substitute. Naan are always made with all purpose flour/maida. At home it can be easily cooked on a tava if some one don’t have a grill.

All purpose flour- 500 gm
Sugar- 1 tablespoon
Instant yeast- ½ teaspoon
Water- as required
Curd (yogurt)- 3 to 4 tablespoon
Butter- 2 tablespoon
Butter for spreading- as required
Salt- as required
sesame seeds- 2 teaspoon
Make the dough
Take instant yeast, sugar and half cup water in a bowl and stir the mixture.
Cover and keep aside for 40 to 45 minutes.
Now take All purpose flour, salt, butter and curd/yogurt and knead to a dough. Add yeast mixture and knead properly so that the dough become soft and smooth.
Cover the naan dough with an wet piece of cloth. After 20 minutes, remove the cloth and knead the dough again, divide the dough into medium balls, cover it and keep aside for another 15 minutes.
Cooking Butter naan
Place the naan on a hot tava and flip it when the bottom is partly cooked.
When the second side is cooked, place the first cooked side on the fire with a pair of tongs. When The naan puff up, flip and brown the naan.
Spread some butter on top and place the hot naan in a casserole.
Make all naan in this way.
